SUMMER SUN ON WINTER HILL
Winter Hill is where
the majority of the North West's television transmissions are made. This
was taken at 4:30am on a summer's day just as the sun was rising above
the horizon. At 1498 feet above sea level, Winter Hill is
the highest point of the area to the west of the Pennines. |
