BLACK VINE WEEVIL
Otiorhynchus sulcatus


A robust beetle with a thick exoskeleton, averaging about 9mm long. Mainly black in colour, it often has orange or yellow spots on its back, although some individuals have little or no spotting. It is a parthenogenic beetle; whereby, there are no males in the populations and the females lay viable eggs without ever mating.
