  BLACKBIRD
Turdus merula

One of the commonest birds in Britain, the blackbird is found in gardens, countryside, coasts and hills. The bright orange-yellow beak and eye-ring make the adult males easily distinguishable, yet the females are brown, often with spots and streaks on their breasts.
