WARBLINGTON CASTLE

A fortified red brick and stone quoin manor house built between 1513 and 1526 by Warwick’s granddaughter, Margaret Pole, who was Countess of Salisbury and the last of the Plantagenets. Only one of the two octagonal turrets of the main gate remains after almost total destruction in the Civil War in 1644. It is close to Warblington Church and located on private property.
