EYE CHURCH

The 100ft high flint-encrusted tower of St Peter and St Paul can be seen for miles around in North Suffolk. Restoration work was carried out at the end of the 1860s, yet the central structure of Comper's rood screen and loft dates from the 14th century. There is evidence of an earlier church on the same site featuring a door in the south aisle taken to belong to the earlier building.
