POINT OF AYRE
This lighthouse is located at the most northerly point of the island and was designed by Robert Stevenson in 1815. Due to delays with finance, it was first lit on 9th March 1818. It stands at 99ft tall and is located on a sandy common, about 500m from the shoreline. |
