THE CRAZY 365 BIT...

This is where, as from the 1st May 2010, I shall be taking an image a day.
Not for one second am I expecting this area to contain any masterpieces, it's more of an ongoing project and, in some respects, a bit of photographic discipline

butternut squash

Thursday 30th September 2010 - 'Butternut Squash'

I shall be preparing this tonight to go into a Butternut Squash Risotto...

grid no.9

Wednesday 29th September 2010 - 'Grid No.9'

What a grim, horrible day... here's an angled shot of the car park where I freelance.

warm heart

Tuesday 28th September 2010 - 'Warm Heart'

Tanya's birthday today so I bought her a bouquet of various flowers, this being a yellow rose.

mirrored

Monday 27th September 2010 - 'Mirrored'

Had a package to pick up from Havant sorting office this morning, so took my camera along, on the off-chance I may see something. Just as I'd given up, I noticed this view, as well as the warm light, in The Spring Arts and Heritage Centre, just across the road from where I was. Taken through the glass doors, I'm not quite sure what it's meant to be, yet it obviously has something to do with the arts side of the centre.

cabbage patch

Sunday 26th September 2010 - 'Cabbage Patch'

A return to the food theme, here's part of a cabbage.

ethereal glow

Saturday 25th September 2010 - 'Ethereal Glow'

Had a hectic day today, both Tanya and I had volunteered to be helpers at the judging of the Havant Open Exhibition. Luckily, we both had time to catch the last light of the day before going home for some much-needed rest.
This shot is of Warblington Church with the sunset giving it an ethereal glow.

cloves

Friday 24th September 2010 - 'Cloves'

Continuing with the food theme, here's a bulb of garlic showing the inner stalk and cloves within.

cool beans

Thursday 23rd September 2010 - 'Cool Beans'

Does exactly what it says on the tin...

ross noble

Wednesday 22nd September 2010 - 'Ross Noble'

Not an exciting image at all... nevertheless, Tanya and I are in for an exciting and undoubtedly funny evening tonight...

mare in the mist

Tuesday 21st September 2010 - 'Mare In The Mist'

It was a beautiful foggy morning so I took a different route to where I freelance. This was taken in a small village called Forestside in West Sussex.

70-300

Monday 20th September 2010 - '70-300'

The top of my Minolta 70-300mm lens, using my computer screen as the source of light.

naked

Sunday 19th September 2010 - 'Naked'

Simple shot taken in Tanya's daughter's house.

chichester stir

Saturday 18th September 2010 - 'Chichester Stir'

The Market Cross, Chichester, first thing this morning.

pink-sorrel

Friday 17th September 2010 - 'Pink-sorrel Oxalis articulata'

An incredibly close shot of the centre of the flower.

total waste

Thursday 16th September 2010 - 'Total Waste'

The topside of a roll of bin liners.

barbs and rachis

Wednesday 15th September 2010 - 'Barbs and Rachis'

A macro shot of a Wood Pigeon's wing feather. Taken against a window to allow light to shine through the barbs, the rachis (stem) appears solid black.

dave

Tuesday 14th September 2010 - 'Dave'

Plucked up the courage to ask a fellow camera club member whether I could take his photograph.
As you can see, Dave obliged. He did question, "Why?" I wanted to, my answer? "Because you have a brilliant face."

equine

Monday 13th September 2010 - 'Equine'

A couple of horses between Chalton and Finchdean in Hampshire.

water retention

Sunday 12th September 2010 - 'Water Retention'

Had a late night Chili Con Carne once home from the beer festival and this was the mixture of fat and water that had accumulated overnight after rinsing the bowls out before going to bed.

brella

Saturday 11th September 2010 - 'Brella'

Thought I'd get today's shot done nice and early, especially as we're heading off to an all-day beer festival and, judging by the weather, this chap may be needed...

solitary

Friday 10th September 2010 - 'Solitary'

Taken between Walderton and Aldsworth, West Sussex.

close encounters

Thursday 9th September 2010 - 'Close Encounters'

Noticed the alien shaped shadows from my body that the diffused light from our bathroom blind was projecting...

aluminium extrusions

Wednesday 8th September 2010 - 'Aluminium Extrusions'

Had a photographic job today, taking images of weighing equipment and ancillaries. This was my favourite of the day.

old boiler

Tuesday 7th September 2010 - 'Old Boiler'

The interesting innards of an old boiler I spotted today at the place where I freelance at.

broadmarsh

Monday 6th September 2010 - 'Broadmarsh'

Taken just up the road in an area of scientific interest called Broadmarsh. The buildings on the horizon are that of Portsea Island; where Portsmouth is located.

coal exchange

Sunday 5th September 2010 - 'Coal Exchange'

This shot is of the brightly coloured tiles found on the Coal Exchange pub in Emsworth.

liquitabs

Saturday 4th September 2010 - 'Liquitabs'

For quite some time now, the shape, colour and texture of the liquitabs we buy have made me want to use them as a subject for my 365. Here are three of four of them together, with natural daylight shining through.

geometricism

Friday 3rd September 2010 - 'Geometricism'

Hadn't noticed, until this morning, just how the uneven surface of our doorbell casing was, along with the intriguing shadows it cast with the early morning sun catching it.

less is grater

Thursday 2nd September 2010 - 'Less is Grater'

A simple macro shot of our cheese grater.

keylines

Wednesday 1st September 2010 - 'Keylines'

Spotted the early morning shadows being cast by my keys this morning...
